Route 380 Frankstown Road Improvements Begin Monday in Penn Hills

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing roadway improvement work on Route 380 (Frankstown Road) in the Municipality of Penn Hills, Allegheny County will begin Monday, February 26 weather permitting.

Drainage improvement work, including pipe and inlet installation, will occur on Frankstown Road between Rodi Road and Lime Hollow Road weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through late March. To allow the work to occur, the westbound lane on Frankstown Road will close to traffic at Rodi Road. Westbound traffic will be shifted into the center lane.  A single-lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained during this phase of work.

The prime contractor is A. Liberoni, Inc. on this $9 million group paving project. Improvement work includes milling and paving, drainage upgrades, base and shoulder repairs, guide rail updates, pavement markings, and other various construction related activities.
