    Crack and Joint Sealing Continues in Allegheny County

    Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing crack and joint sealing activities on various roadways in Allegheny County continues Friday night, July 28 weather permitting.

    Lane restrictions for this mobile operation will occur from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday nights as crews conduct crack and joint seal activities in the following locations in Allegheny County: 

    • I-79 from Butler County to I-279 in Franklin Park Borough

    • I-79 Wexford/Route 910 (Exit 73) interchange ramps in Franklin Park Borough

    • I-79 Warrendale (Exit 75) interchange ramps in Marshall Township and Franklin Park Borough

    • I-79 Cranberry (Exit 76) interchange ramps in Marshall Township

    • I-79 Youngstown OH/Harrisburg/I-76 Pennsylvania Turnpike (Exit 77) interchange ramps in Marshall Township

    • I-279 (Parkway North) from the Fort Duquesne Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh to I-79 in Franklin Park Borough

    • I-279 Fort Duquesne Bridge ramps in the City of Pittsburgh

    • I-279 East Ohio Street (Exit 2) interchange ramps in the City of Pittsburgh

    • I-279 Hazlett Street (Exit 3) interchange ramps in the City of Pittsburgh

    • I-279 East Street (Exit 4 southbound) interchange ramps in the City of Pittsburgh

    Saturday evenings will be used in case of rain. 

    The work on the listed roadways will continue through late November.

    Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Please use caution when driving through the area.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.

    Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
