Motorists are reminded to be alert for lane closures along Interstate 80 in East Lackawannock Township, Mercer County beginning next week as crews install high friction surface treatment on the highway.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 17, 2023, from mile marker 13 to mile marker 11 westbound. Work will then shift midweek to mile marker 10 to mile marker 14 eastbound.
All work is weather dependent, but the project is expected to be completed by July 28, 2023.
PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
