PECO Utility Improvements Scheduled on Two State Highways in Chester, Delaware Counties

​King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on two state highways in Chester and Delaware counties. 

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Chester County
  • Tuesday, May 28, through Thursday, October 31, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a weeknight closure is scheduled on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) between Hares Hill Road and Spring Hollow Road in East Pikeland Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 23 (Ridge Road), Bridge Street, and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road). 
Delaware County
  • Monday, May 20, through Thursday, May 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a closure is scheduled on Gulf Creek Road between King of Prussia Road and Cricket Lane in Radnor Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Biddulph Road. 
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.  

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
