Route 116 (Main Street) Bridge Open to Traffic over Plum Creek in McSherrystown, Adams County

Bridge repairs began June 1.

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Route 116 (Main Street) bridge has reopened to traffic over Plum Creek in McSherrystown Borough, Adams County.

The bridge had been closed since June 1 and traffic detoured for one month between Centennial Road and Oxford Road at the McSherrystown-Conewago Township line.

This bridge work was added to the original resurfacing project on Route 116 that was completed last year.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the contractor on this $1,864,000 project.
