Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that on Monday, June 1, Paxton Street (Route 3010) access to Route 441 (Sycamore Street) will be restricted near Harrisburg in Swatara Township, Dauphin County. This work will place the intersection into its final configuration.
Following the closure, a detour will be in place using S. 19th Street, Paxton Street, and S. 28th Street to Route 441. Once work is completed and Sycamore Street is opened, traffic will be able to access Route 441 from Sycamore Street.
This work is part of a safety improvement project that consists of phased construction to realign the intersection restricting Paxton Street access to Route 441, and other related construction activities.
Daylight work will continue between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM and night work will be performed between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM. There will be lane restrictions under flagging during work hours.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc., of Camp Hill, PA, is the contractor for this $3,075,000 project. All work is expected to be completed by April 20, 2028.
