Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Route 422 (Main Street) in Palmyra Borough, Lebanon County, is open to traffic. The road was closed Monday afternoon between Prince Street and Duke Street due to the development of a sinkhole in the eastbound lanes.
A detour associated with the closure has been lifted.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc. of New Enterprise, PA, performed repairs through a PennDOT highway maintenance contract. Permanent pavement markings will be applied when weather permits
