Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that moving single-lane restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 70, from New Stanton in Westmoreland County to the Ohio state line in Washington County, and on Interstate 79, from the West Virginia state line in Greene County to the Allegheny County line in Washington County.
Work is occurring overnights (6:00 PM-6:00 AM) weekdays until the end of July. All work depends on weather and operations.
Crews from Greene Acres Contracting will be moving at a slow pace installing new raised pavement markers (RPM) and delineators on roadway edge lines, skip lines, and ramps. Arrow boards will be directing traffic to the non-working lane during this mobile operation – an infrastructure safety improvement of $650K.
Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
