Westbound I-376 Beaver Valley Expressway Lane Closure Begins Saturday in Potter and Vanport Townships

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a lane closure on westbound I-376 (Beaver Valley Expressway) in Potter and Vanport townships, Beaver County will begin Saturday, March 28 weather permitting.

Beginning at approximately 7:00 AM on Saturday, traffic on westbound I-376 will be reduced to a single-lane between the Monaca/Shippingport (Exit 39) interchange and Beaver (Exit 38B) exit, and along the Vanport Bridge around-the-clock through late July. Crews will conduct steel repairs and painting operations.

Eastbound restrictions are anticipated to begin later this spring. Details will be provided prior to the eastbound restrictions being implemented.

This work is part of the $4.8 million I-376 (Beaver Valley Expressway) Vanport Bridge Steel Repair project between the Route 68 Midland/Beaver (Exit 38 A/B) and Route 18 Monaca/Shippingport (Exit 39) interchanges. Steel repairs and spot painting will occur on the Vanport Bridge over the Ohio River in Potter and Vanport townships. Long-term lane restrictions are expected on I-376 until work concludes in late 2026. Mosites Construction is the prime contractor.
