Cambria County Resurfacing Project

Lengthy Delays Expected Starting March 9 on Route 756 from Route 403 to Route 3016 in Johnstown, Cambria County, for the Start of a Resurfacing Project

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is informing drivers of the potential for lengthy delays, up to 15 minutes, on Route 756 Route 403 and Route 3016 beginning Monday, March 9, 2026, for the start of a resurfacing project in Geistown and Lorain boroughs, the city of Johnstown, and Stonycreek Township in Cambria County.

Beginning on March 9, crews will be trimming trees along the route and starting drain-structure cleaning and flushing through Friday, March 20. The project is weather dependent.

Quaker Sales Corporation of Johnstown is the lead contractor for the $1,361,956.57 project to resurface Route 756 (Ohio Street/Bentwood Avenue/Belmont Street) between from Route 403 to Route 3016 (Bedford Street), which includes guide rail updates, tree trimming and removal, and maintenance of existing drainage. The overall project is scheduled for completion in June 2026.

Motorists should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage and flaggers.
