Route 3021 (Walker Road) in Black Township, Somerset County, Reopens with Bridge Repairs Completed

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reopened Route 3021 (Walker Road) today (Monday, March 2, 2026) following the completion of emergency bridge repairs.

PennDOT implemented a bridge closure and detour on February 18 for Route 3021 (Walker Road) between T-437 (Wilson Creek Road) and Route 3019 (Humbert School Road) in Black Township, Somerset County, after the discovery of a large hole in the deck of the bridge during scheduled PennDOT’s bridge inspection.

At the time of the closure, it was estimated that the bridge would be closed for approximately two to three (2 to 3) weeks, however, the repairs were completed and the road reopened in just 12 days.
