Contractor to measure drainage facilities along median
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a rolling lane closure is planned for tomorrow (Wednesday) on northbound Interstate 83 in Newberry Township, York County.
Weather permitting, there will be a rolling left lane closure from approximately 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25, between Exit 28 (Route 297/Zions View/Strinestown) and Exit 32 (Route 382/Newberrytown). The lane restriction will allow a contractor to measure drainage facilities along the median for a project starting this spring.
Travelers should be alert and watch for construction vehicles in the roadway.
This project consists of overlay, milling, base replacement, barrier replacement, minor drainage improvements, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous work.
A press release will be issued prior to the start of construction.
Pennsy Supply, Inc., of Harrisburg is the contractor on this $4,678,000 project. All work is expected to be completed by September 17, 2026.
