Update: Placement of High Friction Surface Treatment Is Complete on SB I-81 Right Lane in Lebanon County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that placement of the high friction surface treatment is complete and both southbound lanes of Interstate 81 are open to traffic in Lebanon County.

Work was conducted from 5:00 AM Saturday, May 2, through 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 3, on an approximately 0.6-mile section of southbound I-81 near Mile Marker 93, north of Exit 90 (Route 72/Lebanon).

This work is also expected to be performed later on northbound and southbound I-81 near Exit 85 for Route 934 (Annville/Ft. Indiantown Gap), which is several miles west of the I-81/I-78 split. An updated press release will be issued when this work is scheduled.
