Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that it will install a new stop sign the week of June 2, 2025, on the west side of the York Rail Trail Bridge on Route 214 (Main Street) in Seven Valleys Borough, York County. The new stop sign, along with a stop line, will replace the existing yield (to oncoming traffic) condition.
This new stop condition on Main Street (Route 214) will be marked by a “Stop Ahead” sign with a flashing amber light, as well as a flashing red light on the new stop sign. The amber light will remain in place for 30 days and the red light will remain in place for 60 days, after which time the flashing lights will be removed. In addition, there will be a variable message sign (VMS) alerting motorists in the eastbound direction of the new stop condition on Main Street.
