Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overhead bridge construction will close a section of Tacony Street in Northeast Philadelphia on Saturday, March 22.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Saturday, March 22, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tacony Street will be closed between Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street for overhead Interstate 95 bridge construction.
During the closure, northbound Tacony Street motorists will be directed to use Aramingo/Harbison Avenue and turn right onto Bridge Street to access Tacony Street. Southbound motorists will be directed to turn right on Bridge Street and left on Aramingo/Harbison Avenue to access Tacony Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
