Safety Improvements Planned on Several State Highways in Bucks and Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that safety improvements will occur on several state highways in Bucks and Montgomery counties under a project to improve safety at several intersections and freeway off-ramps in the five-county Philadelphia region. The goal is to reduce the number and severity of crashes at intersections that do not have traffic signals.  

Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Bucks County

  • Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on the U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) North ramp to Tyburn Road East in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.  
  • Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on the U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) South ramp to Tyburn Road East in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
  • Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on the U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) North ramp to Tyburn Road West in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
  • Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on the U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) South ramp to Tyburn Road West in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
  • Monday, April 13, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on ramps in each direction from New Tyburn Road to Old Bristol Pike in Falls Township for pavement markings and raised pavement markers.

Montgomery County

Road-Con, Inc. of West Chester, PA, is the general contractor on this $5.4 million project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
