King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pipe replacement and pavement repair will close four state highways beginning Thursday, June 11 in Chester and Montgomery counties.
Weather permitting, drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Lansdale Avenue will be closed and detoured between Vilsmeier Road and Manor Drive in Montgomery Township, Montgomery County. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Seventh Street, Line Street, and Route 463 (Horsham Road).
- Friday, June 12, through Monday, June 15, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Old Skippack Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) and Shelly Road in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) and Shelly Road.
- Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 26, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Route 252 (Valley Creek Road) will be closed and detoured weekdays between Route 23 (Valley Forge Park Road) and Yellow Springs Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Swedesford Road, Gulph Road, and Route 23 (Valley Forge Park Road).
- Monday, June 22, through Wednesday, June 24, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Birchrun Road/Hollow Road will be closed and detoured between Horseshoe Trail Road and Flowing Springs Road in West Vincent Township, Chester County. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Flowing Springs Road, Saint Matthews Road, Route 401 (Conestoga Road), and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike).
Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas or along the detour routes because backups and delays may occur.
