King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today construction has been completed ahead of schedule on the project to replace the bridge that carries Stony Garden Road over Dimple Creek in Haycock Township, Bucks County. The bridge and roadway reopened today.
Under this project, PennDOT’s contractor replaced the 90-year-old single-span, 16-foot I-beam bridge with a box culvert. The new culvert will maintain lane widths while increasing shoulder widths by over a foot.
This bridge replacement is part of a $2.7 million project to replace or rehabilitate several structures in Bucks and Montgomery counties.
Grace Industries, Inc. of Northampton County, PA is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
