8/18/2024 UPDATE: Route 49 is open in Westfield Township, Tioga County.
Work on the project will continue the week of Monday, August 19. Motorists should expect single lane conditions with flagging where work is being performed.
Montoursville, PA – Motorists who travel Route 49 in Westfield Township, Tioga County are advised the road is closed between Pritchard Hollow Road and Crance Brood Road as a precaution due to undermining at the bridge.
On Tuesday, August 14, 2024, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation maintenance crew established long-term detours to be in effect while a repair project can be completed.
Traffic Impacts:
- Passenger cars will detour using Whites Corner Road (Route 1019) and North Fork Road (Route 1016) in Potter County, and North Fork Road (Routes 4008 and 4005) in Tioga County.
- Large trucks will detour using Routes 449 in Potter County, Route 6 in Potter and Tioga counties, and Route 349 in Tioga County.
