Bushong Road (Route 1003) Bridge Closed in Lancaster County Due to Vehicle Strike

Bridge spans Conestoga River; detour is in place

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge on Bushong Road (Route 1003) in Lancaster County is closed due to a vehicle strike. The bridge spans the Conestoga River between Snake Hill Road in Upper Leacock Township and Pinetown Road in Manheim Township.

A detour is in place using Route 272, Route 772, and Route 23. Bushong Road is open to local traffic on either side of the closure.

PennDOT is evaluating the damage and planning repairs.
