Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that an embankment stabilization project is set to begin next week on Route 4020 (Green Creek Road) in Orange Township, Columbia County.
Monday, September 18, 2023, through Friday, September 22, 2023, Green Creek Road will be closed between Route 4034 (Charmund Road) and Route 4037 (Bowmans Mill Road), while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew completes an embankment stabilization and guide rail upgrade project.
A detour using Charmund Road, Route 487, and Route 4041 (Rohrsburg Road) will be in place while work is being performed. Work will be performed during daylight hours. School buses and emergency vehicles will have access through the work area.
Motorists should be alert, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
