    Two-Year Resurfacing and Bridge Preservation Project Set to Begin in Tioga County

    Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a two-year resurfacing and bridge preservation project is set to begin on Route 15 in both directions in Tioga and Richmond townships, Tioga County.

    On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the contractor, Glenn O Hawbaker, will begin the project in Tioga Township at the Keystone Welcome Center to the south end of the Tioga River Bridge in both the northbound and southbound lanes.  Work will take place during daylight hours. Alternating lane restrictions will be in place long-term.

    Future work will take place on Route 15 southbound in Tioga and Richmond townships from the Keystone Welcome Center to approximately 2.5 miles north of the Main Street, Mansfield interchange (Exit 183).

    This project is anticipated to be completed in late July 2026. Motorists are urged to drive with caution in the work zone.

    Glenn O Hawbaker is the prime contractor on this $6,036,000 which includes on/off ramp resurfacing and bridge preservation work including milling, base repairs, paving, concrete deck repairs, epoxy overlay, guiderail upgrades, line painting, and other miscellaneous construction work.
