Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that Route 1019 (Breakiron Road) is scheduled to close Monday, April 8 at 8:00 AM between Route 1050 (Englishman Hill Road) and Route 1051 (Breakneck Road) in Bullskin Township, Fayette County.
The closure is anticipated through late June depending on weather and operations.
A posted detour will be in place using Route 1019 (Breakiron Road), Route 1050 (Englishman Hill Road), and Route 1051 (Breakneck Road).
PennDOT Fayette County Department Force Bridge Crew will be replacing the superstructure that carries Route 1019 (Breakiron Road) over Breakneck Run – a $350,000 infrastructure investment. Work will include demolition of existing bridge deck and beams, casting of new beam seats and wing caps, placement of new concrete prestressed plank beams, concrete bridge deck and parapet walls, masonry pointing and scour protection, roadway paving, and guiderail replacement.
