Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that surveying operations are scheduled next week on southbound Interstate 95 in the Fishtown and Northern Liberties neighborhoods in Philadelphia.
Weather permitting, motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Tuesday, July 30, and Wednesday July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating left and right lane closures will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Aramingo Avenue and I-676 interchanges.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because significant backups and delays will occur.
The survey operations are part of PennDOT's upcoming I-95/GR6 project. Section GR6 will reconstruct southbound I-95 between Frankford Avenue and the I-676/Vine Street Expressway.
