King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that intersection improvements will begin on Route 82 (South Street) and Cypress Street in Kennett Square Borough and Kennett Township, Chester County, under a local safety improvement project on Monday, January 22.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, January 22, through Tuesday, April 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 82 (South Street) between Center Street and Broad Street in Kennett Square Borough; and
- Monday, January 22, through Tuesday, April 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Cypress Street between Walnut Street and Cope Road in Kennett Square Borough and Kennett Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
