PennDOT Reopens Main Street in Washington Township and Bangor Borough, Northampton County

​The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Main Street in Washington Township and Bangor Borough, Northampton County has reopened. This section of roadway has closed on Sunday, July 16 following flooding damage from severe storms. 


Two additional sections of state roadway remain closed due to storm damage in PennDOT District 5 (Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, and Schuylkill counties). 
Motorists are advised of the following closures:
Zucksville Road between Bushkill Drive and Maple Avenue in Forks Township; and
Riverside Drive between Jefferson Avenue and E Redington Road in Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County
Both closures will remain in place until PennDOT crews can complete the repair work and safely reopen the highways.
