    Bridge and Roadway Expansion Joint Repair Project Continues on I-180 Between Maynard and Faxon in the City of Williamsport, Lycoming County

    Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a bridge and roadway expansion joint repair project continues on Interstate 180 eastbound and westbound between Maynard Street and Faxon Area in the City of Williamsport, Lycoming County.

    On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the contractor will be performing work on I-180 eastbound and westbound between Maynard Street (Exit 28) and Faxon Area (Exit 25). Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

    Traffic Impacts

    • I-180 eastbound
      • The I-180 eastbound right (driving) lane will be restricted.

    • I-180 eastbound entrance ramp from Market Street (Route 15)
      • The I-180 entrance ramp from Market Street in the City of Williamsport will be closed.
      • Traffic will be detoured using I-180 westbound, Maynard Street (Exit 28), I-180 eastbound. 
    • I-180 westbound
      • The I-180 westbound left (passing) lane will be restricted.

    Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for lane changes, and drive with caution through the work zone. Traffic updates will be provided when the contractor will begin a new traffic pattern.

    CriLon, Inc. is the prime contractor for this $177,541 bridge and roadway expansion joint improvement project. Work on this project includes repairing expansion joints on I-180 eastbound and westbound at various locations between Maynard Street (Exit 28) and Faxon Area (Exit 25).  Work on this project is anticipated to be completed by the end of November 2024.
