Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is announcing a closure for replacement of the structure carrying South Water Street (Route 2001) over Cowanshannock Creek in Rural Valley, Armstrong County.
The bridge, located between the intersections of Route 85 and Route 2006, will be closed from July 22 through August 7, 2024. Work is weather dependent.
To detour, motorists will travel North on Water Street, West onto Route 85, South onto Margaret Road (Route 2005), East onto Route 2003 and East onto Route 2006 which will return to South Water Street (Route 2001).
The $953,000 project is estimated to be completed in November 2024 by contractor, Thomas Construction of Grove City, PA.
