Microsurfacing to Begin Tomorrow Evening on Freedom Road with Lane Restrictions in Cranberry Township, Butler County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing upcoming lane restrictions for microsurfacing on Freedom Road in Cranberry Township, Butler County. 

September 10, 2024 during evening hours starting at 7 PM on Freedom Road at the intersection of Route 3020/Route 19 to the intersection of Route 3020/Executive Drive, there will be single lane closures with flagging operations. Work is weather dependent.  Motorists should expect delays due to lane closures.

This project is the Micro-surfacing treatment to various routes in southwestern Butler County and other miscellaneous construction. Microsurfacing is the application of a mixture of water, asphalt emulsion, aggregate (very small, crushed rock), and chemical additives to an existing asphalt concrete pavement surface.

Contractor, Suit-Kote Corporation of Cortland, NY will be completing the $1.8 million project.
