Bridge Rehab Project to Begin on Weavers Mill Road (Route 3011) in Tyrone Township, Perry County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge rehabilitation project is set to begin on Weavers Mill Road (Route 3011) in Tyrone Township, Perry County. The bridge spans Shermans Creek between Ernest Road and Lightner Road.

Weather permitting, work will begin Wednesday, March 22. The bridge will be closed and a detour will be in place using Route 850, Route 233 and Lightner Road.

This work is part of a two-bridge contract that includes the replacement of a bridge on Airport Road (Route 3007) in Northeast Madison Township, Perry County. Work on that bridge is expected to begin Wednesday, March 29, weather permitting.

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., of State College, PA is the prime contractor on this $2,398,398 project. Work on this contract is expected to be completed by December 11, 2023.
