Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a soil remediation project is planned for next Wednesday, June 18, on westbound Interstate 78 in Lebanon County. The work location is at Mile Marker 3.9, just east of the Lickdale Road overpass in Bethel Township.
Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Wednesday, June 18. The left lane and shoulder of westbound I-78 will be closed. The right lane will remain open.
Work includes cleaning up a diesel fuel spill from a truck crash.
There may be delays. Motorists should be alert and watch for slow moving vehicles and construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway.
