King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pipe replacement and base repair operations are planned on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties, under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County:
- Thursday, July 10, and Friday, July 11, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Brandywine Creek Road will be closed between Green Valley Road and Powell Road in Newlin Township for base repair. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 162 (Embreeville Road), Route 82 (Doe Run Road), and Green Valley Road.
Delaware County:
- Monday, July 14, through Sunday, July 20, a 24/7 closure is scheduled on Sweetwater Road between Creek Road and Sweetbriar Lane in Thornbury Township for pipe replacement. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Creek Road, Gradyville Road, and Valley Road.
- Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Sweetwater Road will be closed between Creek Road and Sweetbriar Lane in Thornbury Township for pipe replacement. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Creek Road, Gradyville Road, and Valley Road.
Montgomery County:
- Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Stump Hall Road will be closed weekdays between Route 363 (Valley Forge Road) and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Skippack and Worcester townships for pipe replacement. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 363 (Valley Forge Road) and Route 73 (Skippack Pike).
- Wednesday, July 9, through Thursday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Game Farm Road will be closed weekdays between Neiffer Road and Route 29 (Main Street) in Schwenksville Borough, Limerick, and Lower Frederick townships for base repair. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Neiffer Road, Route 73 (Big Road), Route 73 (Gravel Pike), and Route 29 (Main Street).
Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
