PennDOT Completes Allentown Road Bridge Replacement Project, Reopens Highway in Milford Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction has been completed on a project to replace the bridge carrying Allentown Road over a branch of Unami Creek in Milford Township, Bucks County. The new culvert and roadway reopened at about 1:00 PM today.

Construction on the project began in late January 2025 to replace the existing poor condition structure with a single-span, concrete box culvert. PennDOT’s contractor also replaced the guiderail, signage, and pavement markings.

This bridge is the fifth of seven structures that have been replaced or rehabilitated under a $9.5 million bridge improvement project in Bucks and Montgomery counties.

Loftus Construction, Inc. of King of Prussia, Pa. is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
