Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager Dave Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of June 10, 2024. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
Bridge flushing:
- Various routes countywide.
Channel cleaning
- Route 819 (Webster Hollow Road) in Rostraver Township.
Crack sealing:
- Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) in Derry and Unity townships.
Ditching:
- Route 906 (Webster Road) in Rostraver Township.
Patching:
- Various routes in Donegal and Ligonier townships.
Paving:
- Route 130 (Harrison Avenue) in Penn Township.
- Route 3061 (Bells Mills Road) in South Huntingdon Township.
Pipe installation:
- Route 259 (Coal Pit Road) in Ligonier Township.
- Route 3009 (Lenity School Road) in Rostraver Township.
- Route 3069 (Wendell Road) in Hempfield Township.
Pipe replacement:
- Route 3021 (Webster Hollow Road) in Rostraver Township.
- Route 3011 (Iron City Hill Road) in Rostraver Township.
Shoulder cutting:
- Route 819 (Armbrust Hecla Road) in Mount Pleasant Township.
Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the county.
PennDOT has a toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern. This number can also be utilized to report locations of dead deer on state highways. The number is 1.800.FIX ROAD (1.800.349.7623).
