Route 158 Improvement Work Begins Monday in Lawrence County

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing roadway improvement work on Route 158 (South New Castle Street, North Market Street) in Wilmington Township and New Wilmington Borough, Lawrence County will begin Monday, June 2 weather permitting.

Single-lane alternating traffic will occur on Route 158 between Route 18 and Mercer County weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through mid-November. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

The prime contractor is Shields Paving on this $3.87 million group paving project. Improvement work includes milling and paving, drainage upgrades, structure work, base repairs, guide rail updates, pavement markings, and other various construction related activities.
