Paving to Resume April 7 at the Route 422/268 Interchange in West Kittanning, Armstrong County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that paving operations will resume at the Route 422/268 interchange area in West Kittanning, Armstrong County.

April 7 through the end of May, traffic will be restricted to one-lane on Route 422 both east and westbound.  Traffic will be controlled with flaggers on Route 268 near the Franklin Village Mall.  Route 422 westbound to Route 268 will be open, but the traffic will be shifted to the shoulder while work is being performed.

Contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, State College, PA will be completing this $15.6 million resurfacing project.  The project includes the Route 268-West Kittanning interchange in Armstrong County, between Worthington Borough in Armstrong County and the intersection of Graham/Burke Road in Butler County and at a bridge spanning Lake Arthur in Moraine State Park in Butler County.
