Bridge Flushing Planned Tomorrow on The Danville River Bridge

Montoursville, PA – Motorists traveling on Route 54 (Danville River Bridge) in Montour and Northumberland Counties are advised of alternating lane shifts tomorrow, for a one-day bridge cleaning.

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will be performing bridge flushing on the Danville River Bridge, which carries Route 54 over the North Branch Susquehanna River. Motorists can expect alternating lane shifts between Danville Borough in Montour County and Riverside Borough in Northumberland County. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for lane changes, and drive with caution through the work zone.
