From Monday, June 9 to Friday, June 13, contractors will be patching in various areas along Route 36. From Monday, June 13, to Friday, June 20, mainline paving will take place, including milling operations in the Loysburg and Woodbury areas and wearing course replacement from Route 26 (Raystown Road) at Cottle’s Corner to the Blair County line.
Traffic control will consist of daylight single-lane closures under standard flagging operations with minimal delays to the public.
New Enterprise Stone & Lime, New Enterprise, Pa., is the contractor for the 11-mile, $2,423,017 paving project, scheduled for completion in August 2025.
As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Motorists should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage and flaggers.
Additionally, PennDOT reminds motorists that as of June 5, 2025, the "Paul Miller's Law" is in effect. This law prohibits the use of hand-held devices while driving, even while stopped temporarily due to traffic, a red light, or other momentary delay. Violation of this law is punishable by way of summary citations issued by any Pennsylvania Law Enforcement officer. We strongly urge motorists to make safe choices, put phones out of reach and don’t text and drive.
