King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) will be installed on I-95 in Bucks County and Business U.S. 202 in Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, July 28, through Thursday, July 31, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the U.S. 13 overpass and the Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) Interchange in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.
- Monday, July 28, through Thursday, July 31, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on southbound Business U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Knapp Road and Gwynmont Drive in Montgomery Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work is being done as part of PennDOT’s I-95 Section GR8 project to install and update ITS equipment across regional highways.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
