Resurfacing Project to Begin Next Week on Route 419 (Main Street) in Millcreek Township, Lebanon County

Contractor to perform drainage, ADA curb ramp work

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a 1.5-mile resurfacing project on Route 419 (Main Street) in Millcreek Township, Lebanon County, is scheduled to begin next week. Project work limits are from Fort Zellers Road to the Berks County line.

Weather permitting, on Monday, March 6, the contractor will begin drainage improvements within the project limits. Work will be performed from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Mondays through Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Fridays. Work on ADA curb ramps are also expected to begin soon.

There will be lane restrictions under flagging during work hours. Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

This project consists of milling and overlaying the existing pavement, base repairs, drainage improvements, ADA ramps, guide rail updates and other miscellaneous construction on Route 419 (Main Street) from Fort Zellers Road to the Berks County line.

JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the prime contractor on this $1,784,264 project.

This project is expected to be completed by November 2, 2023.
