Route 51 Saw Mill Run Boulevard Reopens in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing the reopening of Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) between Crane Avenue and Woodruff Street in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County.

A portion of Route 51 between Crane Avenue and Woodruff Street closed to traffic on August 1 to allow crews to conduct bridge demolition work, block wall installation, and roadway rehabilitation work.  The roadway has reopened to traffic.

Crews will continue contracted work on this $3.13 million project through the fall of 2024. Lane restrictions on Route 51 will occur in both directions between Crane Avenue and Woodruff Street weeknights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Tuesday night, September 3 through Friday night, September 27.
