Road Work Continues on Interstate 80 Road Near Buckhorn, Columbia County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a multi-year reconstruction and resurfacing project continues next week on Interstate 80 in Columbia County. All work will be performed between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

Traffic Impacts

  • On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the contractor will be performing pavement repairs in the westbound lanes approaching the structure over Millville Road (Route 4009). An alternating lane closure will be in place during this work.
  • On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the contractor will be performing pavement repairs in the eastbound travel lane just east of the structure over Millville Road (Route 4009). The right (driving) lane will be restricted during this work.
  • On Thursday, June 19, 2025, the contractor will be performing shoulder work to remove and replace a portion of the westbound right shoulder just east of County Line Road. The right (driving) lane will be restricted during this work.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for stopped or slow-moving vehicle, watch for lane changes, and drive with caution through the work zone.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc. is the prime contractor for this $11.1 million reconstruction and resurfacing project. Work includes shoulder reconstruction, roadway resurfacing, structure preservation, signing, and other miscellaneous work. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in June of 2025.
