Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing four scheduled roadway closures in Greene, Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland counties for bridge replacement work.
Beginning Monday, June 23 the following roadways will close to traffic at approximately 7 a.m. continuously through mid-September for bridge replacement work:
Greene County – Aleppo Township
- Route 3018 (Behm Road)
- Between Blacks Creek Road and Whipkey Ridge Road
- Posted detour:
- Route 3001 (Aleppo Road)
- Route 21 (Roy E. Furman Highway)
- Route 3022 (Bristoria Road)
- Route 3005 (Long Run Road)
- Route 3018 (Behm Road)
Fayette County – Wharton Township
- Route 2003 (Wharton Furnace Road)
- Between Greenhouse Road and Fayette Springs Road
- Posted detour:
- Route 40 (National Pike)
- Route 381 (Elliottsville Road)
Washington County – North Strabane Township
- Route 1055 (Thomas Eighty Four Road)
- Between Regency Drive and Long Drive
- Posted detour:

- Route 1051 (Wilson Road)
- Route 519
Westmoreland County – Fairfield Township
- Route 1067 (Laughner Road) over Snyders Run
- Between Orchard Hollow Road and Route 259 (Coal Pit Road)

Respective county maintenance department bridge crews will demolish the existing structures, replace them with precast concrete box culverts, and widen the approaches. Each location is a $750,000 infrastructure investment project.
All work depends on weather and operational conditions.
