PennDOT to Begin Construction on Pleasant View Road Bridge Replacement Project in Lower Pottsgrove Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction will begin on Monday, October 7, on a $2.4 million project to replace the Pleasant View Road bridge over Sanatoga Creek in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, to maintain a safe and efficient crossing for the traveling public.

Under this project, PennDOT's contractor will replace the existing 93-year-old, 50-foot-long, 23-foot-wide single span, concrete encased, rolled steel I-beam bridge with a slightly larger structure measuring 58.5 feet long and 30 feet wide.

In addition, construction includes approach roadway reconstruction, guiderail and drainage improvements, pavement markings and signage installations, and improvements at the Pleasant View Road and Linfield Road Intersection.

Beginning, Monday, October 7, motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

H&K Group, Inc. of Skippack, Pennsylvania is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
