Dunmore, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to plans display regarding Route 3018 Section 352/Rock Glen Road (T-420) over unnamed tributary to Nescopeck Creek in Luzerne County. The project will be presented at the regular scheduled Board of Supervisors Meeting held at the Sugarloaf Township Municipal Building, located at 858 Main Street, Sugarloaf, PA 18249 on December 17, 2024 at 5:30 PM.
The project consists of replacing the existing steel pipe-arch culvert. Roadway improvements associated with the project include full depth pavement reconstruction in the vicinity of the bridge, providing lane and shoulder widths meeting current design criteria. New guide rail and pavement markings that will be provided throughout the project limits.
Traffic will be maintained throughout construction by utilizing a signed detour. The 12.1 mile detour, using SR 3020 (Tomhicken Road) and SR 0093. For this project, the detour will be in place for approximately 4 weeks to complete construction.
Construction work is anticipated to take place in the Summer of 2027.
The purpose of the public meeting and virtual plans display is to introduce the project and the associated maintenance and protection of traffic during construction to receive public questions, comments, or other input regarding the project.
The plans display will be held online and will be available from November 26, 2024, to January 07, 2025.
