Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing surface improvement work on Route 19 (Amity Ridge Road), Route 22 (William Penn Highway), Route 40 (Chestnut Street), and Route 1010 (Cecil Henderson Road/Georgetown Road/Valley Brook Road) in Amwell, Hanover, Buffalo, and Cecil townships, Washington County will begin Monday, June 30 weather permitting.
Single-lane alternating traffic controlled by flaggers will occur each day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., as needed, through late October on the following roadways:
- Route 19 (Amity Ridge Road) in Amwell Township
- Between West Dividing Ridge Road and Mankey Road
- The following operations will occur: milling, base repair, leveling, wearing, and pavement marking work
- Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Hanover Township
- Between the Route 18 and Bavington interchanges
- The following operations will occur: milling, base repair, leveling, wearing, and pavement marking work
- Route 40 (Chestnut Street) in Buffalo Township
- Between Valley View Road (Route 3017) and Sunset Beach Road (Route 3009)
- The following operations will occur: drainage updates
- Route 1010 (Cecil Henderson Road/Georgetown Road/Valley Brook Road) in Cecil Township
- Between Papp Road and Old Farm Road
- The following operations will occur: milling, base repair, leveling, wearing, and pavement marking work
Golden Eagle Construction Company is the prime contractor on this $6.2 million infrastructure investment.
