    Resurfacing Project to Begin on Route 772 (Mount Joy Road) in Rapho Township, Lancaster County

    ​Single lane restrictions under daylight flagging


    Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a resurfacing project is set to begin in mid-September on Route 772 (Mount Joy Road) in Rapho Township, Lancaster County. The work limits extend 4.15 miles from the Route 283 interchange to the intersection with Hossler Road in Manheim Borough.

    Weather permitting, work will begin Friday, September 15. There will be single lane restrictions during daylight hours with flaggers providing traffic control. There will be no short-term daily restrictions from 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. 

    Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

    This project consists of paving, base repair, barrier replacement on the bridge over Route 283, and other miscellaneous construction. Work will initially be performed during daylight hours, though base repair, milling and paving will be performed during the night.

    Pennsy Supply, Inc., of Harrisburg, PA, is the contractor on this $2,536,823 project. All work is expected to be completed by November 22, 2023.
