Bridge Replacement Project to Begin Next Week on Red Lion Avenue (Route 2079) in Felton Borough, York County

Traffic will be detoured until Nov. 14

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today a bridge replacement project is scheduled to begin next week on Red Lion Avenue (Route 2079) in Felton Borough, York County. The bridge spans North Branch Muddy Creek between Rippling Run Road (Route 2060) and Main Street (Route 2054) in the borough.

Weather permitting, work will begin Wednesday, May 29. The bridge will be closed.

A detour will be in place using Rippling Run Road (Route 2060) and Route 24. The detour is expected to remain in place until November 14, 2024.

Lobar Site Development Corp. of Dillsburg, PA, is the contractor on this $2,231,327 project. All work is expected to be completed by May 20, 2025.
