Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge rehabilitation project is set to begin next week on Route 422 in Lebanon County. The bridge spans Tulpehocken Creek between the City of Lebanon and Myerstown Borough in Jackson Township.
Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, June 5. The project consists of crack and spall repair, construction of cutoff walls and the placement of rock scour protection.
Most of the work will be performed under the bridge and will not impact traffic. Travelers may encounter flagging or lane shifts during daylight hours as needed during the project. There will be trucks entering the highway throughout the project from an access road that will be constructed at the beginning of the project.
All work is expected to be completed by November 8, 2023.
JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor on this $729,754 project.
