Traffic will be shifted on ramp; brief stoppages for sign structure and sign installation
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that sign structure work is planned for this week on the northbound Route 11 ramp to southbound Interstate 81 (Exit 65) in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County.
Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Wednesday, August 20, and Thursday, August 21. There will be a traffic shift in place on the ramp.
The ramp will remain open for most of the work. However, there will be brief stoppages of up to 15 minutes while the sign structure and sign are lifted into place.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
This work is associated with a 12.85-mile resurfacing project that consists of milling, base replacement, concrete pavement patching, minor drainage, ADA ramps, paving, traffic counter site repair and other miscellaneous construction on Interstate 81 from Route 15/Enola in East Pennsboro Township, to Route 581/Lambs Gap Road in Hampden Township.
